The Community Action Partnership was established in 1972 as the National Association of Community Action Agencies (NACAA) and is the national organization representing the interests of the 1,000 Community Action Agencies (CAAs) working to fight poverty at the local level. CAN is a "Community Action Agency."

Partnership News - A monthly newsletter, the Partnership News features articles about the Partnership and Community Action nationwide.
Issues and Opportunities Report - These bi-weekly reports contain the latest news on poverty policy, grants, reports, and other resources of interest to CAAs.
Surveys - The Partnership conducts surveys on a regular basis on topics relevant to CAAs, such as information technology, housing and youth services. These surveys serve as a valuable information resource for those unfamiliar to the CAA network. Regular survey program data can be made available to researchers for subsequent analysis.
Policy Forum - Held annually in May, the Policy Forum addresses issues of concern to CAAs, such as jobs, income, self-sufficiency, and housing.
National Dialogue on Poverty - The Partnership convenes the National Dialogue on Poverty every four years to engage Americans from all walks of life in discussions about poverty.
National Community Action Month - This annual celebration in May highlights the work and success stories of CAAs locally and nationally.
The Partnership’s mission is to be a national forum for policy on poverty and to strengthen, promote, represent and serve its network of member agencies to assure that the issues of the poor are effectively heard and addressed.
