In our effort to prepare children for their academic career in public school, CAN has created a program with an abundance of learning opportunities. Located at the Loch Raven United Methodist Church in the Hillendale area of Baltimore County, The Learning Garden emphasizes letter recognition, printing, rote counting, and one-to-one concepts of numbers and quantities. Science activities are hands-on and encourage children to use their senses to explore the world around them. Each child will learn to recognize and identify 10 shapes and colors. Music activities include dancing, creative movement, singing, and experimenting with instruments. Art projects are a daily favorite and provide the opportunity for children to explore their creative potential.
The Learning Garden
Daily nutritious meals are provided, including breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks. The meal menus follow the nutrition requirements for meals served in public schools.

How do I qualify?
The Learning Garden Child Care Center strives to provide top quality child care at an affordable price for low to moderate income families. Eligibility for enrollment is determined by the family’s income and need for childcare.
How do I enroll my child?
To enroll your child at The Learning Garden, we invite you to give us a call at (410) 823-6446 and schedule an appointment with the Director to take a tour of the center. During the tour we will show you around our facility and provide detailed information regarding the educational program that we provide. At the conclusion of the tour we will provide you with all the necessary paperwork to enroll your child in the center.
Where is The Learning Garden located?
The Learning Garden Child Care Center is located at 6622 Loch Raven Boulevard in the Loch Raven United Methodist Church building (we are not church affiliated) at the corner of Loch Raven Boulevard and Glendale Road. Located in Hillendale in Baltimore County just north of the Baltimore City line, The Learning Garden is easily reached by MTA bus.
