Gifts to the Community Assistance Network (CAN) are tax deductible within the limits of the current Federal and State laws. CAN is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. A copy of our current financial statement is available on request by contacting CAN at (410)285-4674. Documents and information submitted to the State of Maryland, under the Maryland Charitable Solicitations Act, Office of the Secretary of State, State House, Annapolis, MD 21401 are available for the cost of copying and postage.

The Community Assistance Network is a 38-year-old private, nonprofit organization and is the legally-designated community action agency serving low-income and at-risk individuals and families in Baltimore County. In addition to our food pantry, CAN’s services include: Emergency Services & Outreach, Housing Assistance, Employment Assistance & Training, and Weatherization Services.
Donation Guidelines
a) Items donated should have a long-shelf life.
b) Outdated or expired donations will have to be thrown out.
c) Boxes should be sealed tightly and not previously opened.
d) Glass or dented containers cannot be accepted.
