Community Assistance Network provides supplemental food to income-eligible, Baltimore County Residents.  The supplemental food package provides breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks per day for seven days based on a family size of four.  Larger families can expect to receive a food supplement that adequately addresses the needs of their family.

It is the goal of the CAN pantry to provide individuals and families with a nutritionally balanced food supplement package.  We strive to provide staples from each major food group to each household. Please be advised the supplemental package contents may vary depending on received donations and available inventory.

The CAN pantry recognizes that individuals in our community benefit when we have various

miscellaneous items available. We work diligently to secure donations of pet food, laundry, detergent, soap, shampoo, conditioner, household goods, toiletries and so much more.  Let us know what you need!  Please be advised there is a limit of three miscellaneous items per household.

 Renovation Update

Community Assistance Network is currently renovating and expanding our Dundalk location. Our goal is to provide Baltimore County residents who utilize our services, a more dignified and comfortable experience. As part of our renovation, we are building a client choice food pantry that will allow qualifying community members to choose their own grocery items instead of receiving a pre-packaged box of supplemental food. CAN is also implementing new technology called PantrySoft, this new feature gives food pantry clients the convenience of remote grocery ordering. To ensure that CAN’s commitment and service to the community continues, as we go into phase two of our renovation/expansion project, pantry distribution is currently taking place in the rear of our building.

Inclement Weather Advisory

Community Assistance Networks' food pantry will be closed when there is inclement weather. We typically follow Baltimore County government closings and delays. We may also close when the Baltimore County government does not if we feel it is unsafe for staff and visitors. Please call the main office number at 410-285-4674 for up-to-date information before traveling to CAN. If CAN is closed due to inclement weather and you are due to receive pantry services, you may come the next day we are open.
